Putting Up Walls That Work
Redesigning a workplace is a big undertaking. KI architectural walls can make that process easier. We designed our three models -- Evoke, Genius and Lightline -- with simplicity, flexibility and cost-efficiency in mind.
Easy, Breezy Assembly
It typically takes almost a full year to renovate an office space. That can mean a year of working offsite, or a year of enduring constant construction noise.
Architectural walls can shorten that timeline drastically -- and essentially eliminate the waste that comes with tearing down and putting up drywall.
KI architectural walls come unitized and are shipped already assembled. So, erecting them is a breeze. In fact, installing one of our architectural walls is 10 to 15 percent faster than standing up a conventional wall. That ease of installation also allows for quick space reconfigurations with virtually no damage to ceilings or floors.
Tenured employees can return to new glass offices, designed for an open feel, in no time. Teams that choose Lightline can look forward to gathering in naturally-lit conference rooms with butt-glazed glass architectural walls, which could be frosted or applied with an attractive film to preserve privacy.
Investment with a Return
The cost of renovating an office can run from tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of thousands -- or even millions of dollars. That’s no small investment.
Architectural walls can provide more than just a beautiful space. They can also offer employers significant tax benefits.
Since KI architectural walls are assembled prior to delivery and movable, they’re classified as furniture by the IRS. That means KI wall owners can depreciate their costs over seven years, compared to 39 years for conventional walls.
In some cases, businesses may be able to write off the entire cost of KI architectural walls in just one year. Section 179 of the federal tax code allows businesses to deduct from gross income the full purchase price of certain equipment that’s either financed or purchased. The deduction can be worth as much as $1 million.
That can translate into hundreds of thousands in cash savings over traditional construction. They can reinvest those savings in their firms and their employees.
Finding Comfort in Change
Launching an office renovation -- or even freshening up the look and feel of a space on the margins -- can be overwhelming. At KI, we want to make that process as simple and wallet-friendly as possible. Our architectural walls can help in that pursuit.
